A. Keep all your documents in order:

This is something we suggest everybody who book tour with us. Keep all your travel and verification documents including passport, visa and insurance in a file. Also, it is advisable to carry attested photocopies in your baggage separately. This will prevent you from getting marooned in case the originals get lost. 

B. Keep some cash and lots of pocket change: 

Once you’ve started the trek to the Vaishno Devi cave temple, you will find various small vendors selling handicrafts, religious ornaments, Prasad and offering horse rides but they accept money in terms of cash only. However, there are some eating outlets such as Café Coffee Day and Sagar Ratna where credit & debit cards are accepted. Carrying currency notes of lower value are more sensible.

C. Eat at select places : 

During the trek, you will find various small vendors selling food items but most of the times they are not freshly made. It is advisable and sensible to eat at hygienic and recognized eating outlets such as Sri Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Bhojanalaya, Café Coffee Day and Gulshan Kumar Bhandara.

D. Visa Expenses :  

Kindly note that the last minute visa applications invite extra charges. Therefore, it is advisable to make advance reservations for visa before the actual departure.
